About Us

Welcome!

We are a community of individuals who try to follow the teachings of Jesus in the way we support and care for one other and other people.

We meet on Sundays and during the week, both to worship God and also to take part in a variety of other activities.

Service of God and our neighbour is at the heart of who we are and what we do, as we try to meet the needs of our congregation and parish and make a difference in the world.

Monifieth, a small town on the outskirts of Dundee, is the main nucleus of population in the parish. On the 8th of September 2019 we celebrated the opening of a new church building which is right on Monifieth High Street and has been designed for the 21st century. As the recently united parish of Monifieth South Angus, we now also have members of our church family scattered across the rural hinterland of Monifieth. Our rural worship centre / hall is in Murroes, a small hamlet less than ten minutes’ drive from the town.

We would love you to come and join us - for worship on a Sunday and/or during the week, either in the main sanctuary in Monifieth or in the smaller more intimate setting of Murroes Church Hall, or for our social events or interest groups. You don’t have to be able to come regularly to be sure of a welcome. We want to be at the heart of our urban and rural community, and at the centre of its needs.

Times and venues for worship and for other activities vary so be sure to consult our website for current information.
